Limpets

This large coastal 3D wall art is a statement piece that will be admired by many. Using my unique string art technique, this is a very tactile piece that would look wonderful in any nautical, ocean, sea or beach themed home.

This limpets seashells painting is sold so you will get something very similar.

I have always been fascinated by anything relating to the sea as this is where I spent my childhood. Now that I’m not near it, I miss it so it’s lovely to revisit this through my paintings.

The colors are muted, reminiscent of a summer’s day at the seaside. Imagine a really sunny day with lots of sunlight bouncing off the rocks and reflecting from the sea. The painting is pale and watery which is the effect I was trying to create.

This work has an incredible amount of texture, not only from the limpets which were constructed in string but I also added hundreds of barnacles. This gives this painting another dimension and is not only a feast for the eyes but it is also very tactile.

Size:
60 x 50cms (20″ x 24″) – different size can be done too, please just ask.

The painting is worked on a wood panel and will be framed in a solid wood white frame or you can have a floating artwork which is on wood and sits slightly away from the wall. The images show 2 artworks, one which is framed and the other is floating.

With this work you’ll get an Artist’s Statement and Certificate of Authenticity. Shipping includes insurance and this is reflected in the shipping cost.
