Apple Core Painting

This apple painting is wonderful way to make your kitchen feel homely. The macro view of this delicious fruit is an unusual still life oil on canvas that will be a conversation piece for sure.

Botanically speaking, the macroscopic view of an apple core has always fascinated me. The way that the light bounces from the shiny surface of the apple flesh onto the bulbous pips just had to be painted.

The oil painting has a lot of depth and an iridescent feel. The apple has just been cut so the colors are really fresh. This is the perfect kitchen picture.
