Monarch Butterfly

Description

The Monarch Butterfly is so stunningly beautiful, I just had to paint one. I see these in the garden all the time. It’s not until you study them up close you realize how much incredible detail there is. I just love to blow up those details out of all proportions and accentuate them. I’ve used string to show the veins. The iridescent medium mixed in the paint means that the light bounces around in a subtle way just like it does on a real butterfly wing.

79×79 cm string/acrylic/iridescent medium on wood framed in a  wood painted frame and ready for hanging. (frame as in last image)

The painting can have a color in the background or simply left white.  Please just let me know.
